Available positions

C++ Software Engineer – All Levels

Locations: Edinburgh, Scotland

As a C++ Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing our software products and tools under the guidance of a Principal Engineer. You will be working within a wider multi-disciplinary team of machine learning, linguistics, audio signal processing and graphics specialists. You will support our existing real-time facial animation technology as well as developing new features and performance optimisations. Your work will be technically challenging and will have exciting impacts across verticals in communications and entertainment.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Understanding of Object Orientated Programming techniques
  • Good problem solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team

  • Previous experience in commercial software development

Front-end Developer with WebRTC

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking a Front-End Developer with WebRTC experience for our network platform development. You will be part of the engineering design discussions and implement the technical solutions. This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree computer science or related discipline
  • 3+ years of software development
  • WebRTC, specifically handling A/V and data streams, from native code and preferably from JavaScript as well (in-browser). Basic understanding of RTP and/or other streaming network protocols are a plus.
  • Either WebGL or Three.js. If you have no experience with any of these, other 3D language such as OpenGL or OpenGL|ES is a must and experience with basic scenegraph management is highly desired.

  • JSON data manipulation (JSON.parse) from JavaScript
  • HTML5 (mainly with Canvas and Stream elements)

Junior Front-end Developer

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking an entry level Front-End Developer as an opportunity to develop WebRTC experience and work on our network platform development. You will be part of the engineering design discussions and help to implement the technical solutions. This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

Other Skills

  • Drive, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn to work in an Agile Development team (SCRUM, Kanban, etc)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, equivalent work experience OR related discipline is necessary
  • Experience in a commercial environment e.i Internships, would be an advantage.

Willing to develop technical skills and experience in
