Graduate Producer

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking a Graduate Producer who will be responsible for assisting our game animation studio partners by providing direct user support, testing functionality of new releases and helping with the creation of test content. You will work in close collaboration with the in-house studio, developers and creative director to troubleshoot issues, test new releases, create and execute content and release plan and maintain the release distribution portal.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with animating and rigging characters in Maya
  • Attention to detail, notices small changes in otherwise routine happenings
  • Clear communicator committed to composing concise and accurate messages
  • Educated to degree level in game development, technical art, engineering, or technical writing
  • Comfortable learning on the spot and eager to expand skill set
  • Ability to work under deadlines and provide accurate task estimates
  • Ability to receive and ask for assistance
  • Ability to work independently
  • Service oriented mindset

Desired Qualifications/Requirements

Technical Project Manager

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support product development of our network platform on the AWS Public Cloud. You will support the product team to identify milestones and product release schedule for prototypes and incremental rollouts. The work performed will have exciting impacts across communication verticals in enterprise and entertainment.  This position reports to the Vice President of Product.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science or related discipline
  •  3+ years of program management experience in software product services development, and/or TechOps Deployments.
  • Experience with Agile and Traditional project methodologies

Desired Qualifications/Requirements

  • Understands software development methodology pipeline
  • Any formal cloud based training and/or industry software project management accredited certification is a plus

Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with 5+ years experience to support the development and deployment of our network platform applications to AWS Public Cloud. The work you do will have a visible impact in communication and entertainment industries. The position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of strong cloud implementation or consulting experience
  • Experience with core AWS offerings and services such as EC2, S3, VPC, ELB, IAM, Containers (ECS, ECR), CloudWatch and Route 53
  • Experience managing AWS accounts
  • Strong group-based problem solving skills and spirit of teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Ability to work within a schedule and deliver effectively to deadlines

Desired Qualifications/Requirements

  • Knowledge/experience with Elasticache for Redis, Cloudformation, Fargate, Cognite, DynamoDB and VPC configuration (ARN, ENI) and experience with Node.js is highly desired.

Software Engineer – All Levels

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing our software products and tools under the guidance of a Principal Engineer. You will be working within a wider multi-disciplinary team of machine learning, linguistics, audio signal processing and graphics specialists. You will support our existing real-time facial animation technology as well as developing new features and performance optimisations. Your work will be technically challenging and will have exciting impacts across verticals in communications and entertainment.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Understanding of Object Orientated Programming techniques
  • Good problem solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team

Japanese Language Consultant

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Native-level Japanese speaker with some Linguistics training required for short-term consultation on language technology used to generate accurately lip-synced facial animation for Japanese speech.

You will work with a team of linguists to assess the accuracy of language-specific tools.  This may include:

  • evaluation of phonetic labels in Japanese transcriptions
  • analysis of our tools’ capacity to handle common dialectal variation
  • critique of lip sync animation with Japanese speech audio
  • editing Japanese transcriptions

Qualifications

  • Native proficiency in Japanese
  • Some phonetics training including the International Phonetic Alphabet
  • Some knowledge of Japanese phonology
  • Experience with spectrograms a plus
