Cloud Engineer

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Speech Graphics is seeking a Cloud Developer/Cloud Backend Engineer to support the development and deployment of our network platform applications to AWS Public Cloud. The work you do will have a visible impact in communication and entertainment industries. The position reports to the Manager, Network Platform.

  • Bachelor’s degree computer science or related discipline (desirable)
  • 3+ years of software development.
Technical skills and experience

You MUST have experience with:

  • Strong development experience in Node.js, JavaScript and/or other programming languages such as Python.
  • Working experience with Serverless technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, API GW, SQS, SNS) and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)
  • Ability to design for resilience and operability
  • Solid understanding of security best practices in the cloud
  • Unit testing experience
  • Strong group-based problem-solving skills and spirit of teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Ability to work within a schedule and deliver effectively to deadlines
Other skills
  • Experience with core AWS offerings and services such as EC2, ECS, S3, VPC
  • Any formal cloud-based training and/or industry accredited certification is a plus
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field

Customer Success Associate

Location: San Fransisco, CA United States

If the answer to any of the above is Yes, then please get in touch.  We are currently interviewing for a Customer Success Associate to support our current customers, develop new business, and promote our products.

The Customer Success Associate will also provide support for sales outreach, meetings, trade shows, marketing and research tasks.  Candidates should be customer-oriented, organized, and have a passion for computer games and 3D animation.  We are seeking someone who thrives in a team, is eager to expand their skill set and is committed to success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to inbound information requests.
  • Draft and send outreach messages to potential clients to raise awareness and establish relationships.
  • Help create and maintain content on various web sites, and social media accounts.
  • Complete research tasks and report findings.
  • Assist with travel, tradeshow, and misc. bookings.
  • Help keep elements of the CRM up to date, and track down missing data from stakeholders.
  • Associates degree or better required.
  • Attention to detail, checking for accuracy in communications and tasks.
  • Good communication skills, effectively engaging clients to deal with queries and demo products
  • Strong organizational skills, making efficient use of time and prioritizing deadlines
  • Computer skills to produce polished, customer ready content with leading packages such as G-Suite, MS Office, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Other Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Prior work experience in a customer focused environment, especially dealing with customer support
  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools and software.
  • Familiarity with video games and/or animation production.
  • Graphic design skills for print / screen are a plus.
